About Stephanie:
I joined the newspaper business just over seven years ago. Some of my coworkers are fond of saying I haven’t had time to become ‘jaded’ yet, which is fine with me. But I think journalism is in my blood — my parents worked in everything from radio, to newspapers, to television. I am the Web Editor and Social media Coordinator for the Grand Island Independent in Nebraska, and in addition to that, I manage the newspaper’s Twitter accounts, Facebook, internal blogs, and community blogs, as well as the paper’s forums and story comments.
I also freelance for local businesses by helping them create better websites and I teach them the benefits of social media.
